Training outline:

Module 1: Introduction to Desktop Application Support

Introduce participants how to use troubleshooting guidelines and tools to support users running applications on Windows desktops.

 

Module 2: Introduction to Troubleshooting Applications

After completing this module, participants will be able to explain the application installation process and basic application troubleshooting techniques.

Managing Windows Server 2003 Environment

 

Training outline:

Module 1: User and computer account management

Manage users, groups and computer accounts on computers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 in a networked environment

 

Module 2: Resource management

Explains how to enable resource access with permissions, manage access to files and folders using permissions, and manage permission inheritance.

 

Module 3: Printing management

Describe how to manage printing in both standalone and network environment.

 

Module 4: Managing Active Directory OU

Explains the permissions available for managing access to Active Directory objects, how to move objects between organizational units in the same domain, and how to delegate control of an organizational unit

 

Module 5: Implementing group policy

Explains the purpose and function of Group Policy in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment.

 

Module 6: Using group policy in user environment

Use Group Policy to configure Folder Redirection, Microsoft Internet Explorer connectivity, and the desktop.

 

Module 7: Implementing Administrative Templates and Audit Policy

Manage security in an Active Directory domain and audit events to ensure the effectiveness of a security strategy.
